| Again the play between light and dark is an important aesthetic and conceptual factor in this image. This project was an opportunity for me to experiment with different photographic media as I soon realised that my Contax G2 (primarily a street camera) would be limited in certain situations. Shooting on a digital SLR allowed me to experiment with colour, and whilst initially this kind of image would seem suited to black and white, it is more successful in colour as it retains the emotional power and contrast of a black and white image.
